Hidden Gem

Dress - Ann Taylor, Shoes - Lucky @ ModCloth
Over the weekend, I tried really hard to sneak out of my bridesmaid's duties to take some outfit pics for you guys, but it ended up being a lot harder than I thought! It seemed we were constantly running around doing things for the bride, whether it was transporting things to the rehearsal dinner, getting our nails done, or guzzling buckets of champagne in the bridal suite as people did us up. Yes, it's a hard life, but someone's got to live it. Still, I managed to snap a few quick pics of the dress I wore to the wedding rehearsal and dinner afterward. The weather was near ninety, so I wanted something cool and summery, but also a little on the conservative side since we'd be surrounded by family members and the officiant. I had forgotten I had this dress in the back of my closet, which I've had for YEARS. I know every fashionista says it's horrible to keep things in your closet for a long time, but I swear, sometimes it pays off! I love this dress's vintagey silhouette and midi-hemline. Have you guys ever found a hidden gem in your closet that you're so glad you never gave away?

Who says it's horrible to keep stuff in your closet for a while? :) I don't understand keeping something if you haven't worn it for over a year. But if you think you'll wear it again, keep it! This is so lovely, and makes you look really tall! Perfect for a wedding rehearsal.
