A Little Oomph

Top - from Chantell on Melrose, Jeans - just usa, Boots - Wild Pair (old), Necklace - Dogeared (gifted)
Happy New Year! I'm hoping that everyone's 2012 is off to a roaring start. Mine is already filled with an endless number of broken resolutions. I keep telling myself there's always tomorrow. I guess I should move "Stop procrastinating" to the top of the resolution list.

Sorry about the graininess of these photos...I don't know what happened. The photos are much more in focus on my camera...as well as in my photo editor, but on Blogger, they look like I'm standing behind a film of fuzzy. I'll try to figure it out, but in the meantime, I hope you can at least see the outfit. I ADORE this shirt! Not only is it one of my fave color combos (orange and blue!), but it is flowy and forgiving, and has cute little cut outs in the shoulder to give it that little extra oomph. And that's what 2012 is going to be about for me. A little extra oomph. Well, starting tomorrow.

Christmas gift from my sister, Dogeared Zodiac necklace. Love!
I know that my non-Southern California peeps are going to be jealous of my next few outfit posts because they were taken in the ridiculously balmy winter weather of LA (seriously, 80 degrees on New Years Day!). I loved getting to rock short sleeves and lighter fabrics while I was there, and I got to squeeze in a few outfits I didn't have a chance to wear before the weather turned frigidly cold in Northern Cali.

My New Years Eve was nice and quiet this year, and I feel like I'm not the only one that went lowkey for 2012. It was spent laughing with some of my favorite people, chowing on homemade guacamole, clam dip, and sipping on my favorite champagne. But now it's back to reality. Sigh. But to fight the post-holiday blues, Boyfriend and I have several fun little weekend trips planned for this month...plus, I'm moving at the end of the month! Yay! After living in my current apartment (which I LOVE) for the past several years, I will finally be moving to a house with a yard for the dog, a two-car garage, and most importantly...MORE CLOSET SPACE. Yup, that extra oomph is kicking in already. Happy new year!

How did you spend your NYE? Lowkey or all out?

Yay more closet space!! Gosh that's a reason for celebration alone. :) I cannot believe it was 80 on New Year's Day for you. It was 17 here last night. 17. Enjoy your sheer sleeveless tops. :)

LOVE the orange and blue on you! Oomph indeed!

GREAT top, I love the cut outs and knot at the bottom! Your dogeared necklace is super cute too, I wear mine all the time. Congrats on the move, more closet space would be a dream!

@Sugarwithspikes Thanks, hun!
@Cara Yes, I literally dream about more closet space. And fantasize about turning the spare bedroom in the new place into a closet, but I think I'm going to get vetoed!
@Kenziefaith Thanks for the recommendation! I have a Flickr account but haven't used it for editing...maybe I'll try that!
